2.08 Notes ---- ----- * Additional changes made for registration ID recovery. 2.07 Notes ---- ----- * Frames now does a better job of recovering the Registration ID if your handheld is reset. In most cases, it will be restored to the same ID, even across resets (you must restore your ActiveSync name to the same name or the ID can not be recovered). 2.06 Notes ---- ----- * Frames should now work correctly on square (240 x 240) Pocket PC screens. * The "Edit list" item in the ball list on the Game screen now works correctly. 2.05 Notes ---- ----- * The "By score" graph has been implemented, and the internal graphing code has been improved. 2.04 Notes ---- ----- * The code that retrieves the handheld's "Device ID" has been disabled for Pocket PCs running Windows Mobile 5.0, because it can cause security problems (and Frames will not run). 2.03 Notes ---- ----- * This is the first version 2.0 general release. * The right-hand "T" and "P" are no longer partially written over on the Lane History screen. 2.02 (Beta) Notes ---- ------ ----- * Note text for events and balls is now properly stored in the Frames database. 2.01 (Beta) Notes ---- ------ ----- * While scoring a game, Frames will no longer display a score for incomplete frames. * You can now delete alleys or patterns without getting an error. * The back and next buttons on the Lane History screen now work correctly. * The graph "underflow" error message is now displayed correctly (when there is less than three events or games to graph). 2.00 (Beta) Notes ---- ------ ----- * This is a "new feature" release. The following new features have been added to Frames for Pocket PC: - The Games button on the main screen has been replaced by a Scores button. When you tap the Scores button, the series that you've bowled (that match the selections on the main screen) are displayed, one month at a time. You can tap the Games button on the series list screen to see the games for the selected series. If you tap the Games button without selecting a series, all games that you bowled that month (that match the selections on the main screen) will be displayed. - You can now edit existing games. To edit a game, tap the Scores button, select the series that contains the game, tap the Games button, select the game you want to edit, and tap the Edit button. There are two edit screens - the first one allows you to change the game's alley, pattern, event, date, and starting lane number; the second allows you to edit the game's score. (You display the second edit screen by tapping the Edit Score button on the first edit screen.) There is also an Append button on the Edit screen that allows you to append a game to the end of an existing series, and an option that allows you apply the changes you make on the first edit screen to all games in the game's series. - You can now easily get the statistics for a single series – just tap the series on the Series screen, and tap the Report button. If you tap the report button without selecting a series, the statistics will include all series bowled that month (that match the selections on the main screen). - You can now resume an event. If the number of games in a series is less than the "game count" for the event, you can select the series on the Series screen and tap the Resume button. This will allow you to add additional games to that event. - A Preferences screen has been added - to display it, tap the title bar at the top of the main screen, and tap the Preferences menu item. The following options have been implemented: "Start each frame with pins down", "Display max score when scoring", and "Include splits in spare percentage". - You can now add a note (free-form text up to 57 characters long) to each event and ball, and to each frame of a game while you are scoring it. You enter the note for an event and ball on the Edit or New screens for those items; you enter frame-by-frame notes by tapping the title bar while you are scoring and selecting the Frame Notes menu item. - There is a "common notes" feature for frame-by-frame notes - you can create your own list of frequently entered notes, and select from the list rather than typing the same text over and over. - The Lane History list now displays the most recent games, rather than the oldest games, when you first tap the "Lane History" menu item. - The statistics screen now displays your high and low series, as well as your high and low game. - When you attempt to graph too much data (either events or games), the oldest data is truncated, rather than the newest. Also, the error messages have been improved if there is too much or too little data to graph. - When you tap on the graph, the date (in addition to the game/event score and your average) is now displayed for the selected event/game. - There is a new "By Lane" graph (select it by tapping the type list at the top, right-hand corner of the graph screen). This new graph displays your average on each pair of lanes; tap the graph to see the lane numbers, your average and the number of games bowled on that pair. (If you do not select an alley on the main screen before tapping the Report button, the "by lane" graph will combine the games, and report a single average, for the same lane numbers in different houses.) - An "Exit" command has been aded to the Options menu on the Main screen. This is to force Frames to terminate and close its files, in case ActiveSync can not sync one of the Frames data files. Please see the expanded help information for each screen (displayed by tapping the "Help" menu item at the bottom of most screens) for additional information.
